Our diamond tools are built for sub-micron form accuracy and nanometer-level surface quality. They can machine a wide range of optical materials, including optical resins such as PMMA, hydrophobic acrylics, and hydrophilic hydrogels, as well as non-ferrous mold materials including nickel-phosphorus (NiP) alloys and aluminum alloys. They perform especially well when creating complex geometries like aspheric, diffractive, and freeform surfaces used in progressive addition lenses and advanced EDOF IOLs.
The performance of our tools comes from their precise geometry and extremely sharp cutting edges. With ultra-low waviness (typically <80nm) and optical-grade surface finishes (Ra ≤ 0.02μm) achieved directly from machining, our tools deliver excellent optical clarity, accurate refractive power, and less need for post-polishing. Tool Clamping
· Handle the tool lightly when clamping
· Do not contact the diamond tip directly
· After removing the Diamond Turning Tool, place it back in the tool box immediately
· Do not leave tools exposed to avoid damaging the diamond
Tool Cleaning
· Wipe the diamond tips gently with a clean foam stick dipped in industrial alcohol
· Avoid excessive force or abrasive materials that could damage the cutting edge
