HELL direct acting sliding shoe system presents an updated model of the traditional sliding spindle system. Sliding spindle, also called sliding shoe, is a kind of machine accessories mounted on electric engraving machines to assist in engraving copper plates.
Installed on the HELL 8K high-speed engraving head, it serves as a positioning device to control the distance between the engraving stylus and the cylinder.
Adopting an integrated one-piece design, it consists of: micrometer head, control knob, dial scale, slide shoe bronze sleeve, direct acting sliding shoe.
Slide shoe bronze sleeve is made of pure copper, direct acting slide shoe is constructed with natural or synthetic diamond.

· When replacing the stylus, simply rotate the knob to achieve perfect alignment between the slide shoe and the roller, simplifying operation and saving adjustment time.

What makes our Straight sliding shoe system different?
The motion of the straight sliding shoe is different from that of the traditional sliding shoe (as shown in the figure)
When a new sliding shoe is just used, the contact surface between the sliding shoe and the cylinder is small. After a period of time, the sliding shoe diamond will form a curved surface.
When it is necessary to adjust the sliding shoe, the traditional sliding shoe system rotates, the arc surface cannot be completely matched with the cylinder, resulting in scratches to the cylinder copper surface.
However, the arc of straight sliding shoe system can always keep in line with the cylinder when rotating, and will not scratch the copper cylinder, which can not only save time of changing stylus but also extend the life of straight sliding shoe (as shown in the figure).
Applicable Machine:
HELL direct acting sliding shoe system is suitable for high-speed electronic engraving machines, just like：Helio Gravures K500, K405, K305, K500C, K50C, K55C, K5SMART and some other Gravure machines.
Attentions:
When you install the sliding shoe, do not touch the diamond cutting edge directly with your hand or other objects. If you need to wipe it, please use isopropyl alcohol, acetone & a lint free cloth or an elder pitch. If you need more aggressive cleaning in order to remove a particular contaminant, please discuss with us.
The aperture observed under the professional detection equipment shows the perfect condition of the sliding shoe.
After a period of use, the diamond surface of the sliding shoe is prone to mechanical wear, and if the scratch is serious, it needs to be re-polished.
Method of use:
1.When you use it for the first time, please take out the copper sleeve of the original sliding shoe and install the sliding shoe knob on the straight-in sliding shoe system.
Insert the in-line sliding shoe system into the engraving head, lock the inlay screw (M4) on the engraving head, and adjust the sliding shoe well.
Distance from the tip of the needle can be used normally.
2. When removing the sliding spindle, please loosen the embedded screw (M4) on the engraving head, take out the straight-in sliding shoe system, and loosen it.
Remove the screws from the in-line slide 2 and take out the slide.
3. When installing the sliding shoe, take out the new sliding shoe, keep the tail plane of the sliding shoe parallel to the screw hole, and insert the sliding shoe.
Make sure screw 2 is aligned with the tail plane of the slide foot to lock on the bottom.
4. Direct acting sliding shoe system into the engraving head adjusted to start use cannot be removed.
The foot system is removed when the foot is worn and needs to be trimmed.
